This page explains how PDFRun creates, reviews, updates, and corrects the guides and tool explanations published on this site. We keep it public so readers can judge how much to trust what they read here.

Who writes our content

Guides and tool explanations are produced by the PDFRun Editorial Team — the writers and product specialists who build and maintain the tools they describe. We do not publish under invented author identities.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help draft and outline some articles. Every AI-assisted draft is read, fact-checked, and edited by a member of the editorial team before it is published, and is checked against how the corresponding PDFRun tool actually behaves. AI is a drafting aid here, not the final author, and we do not publish unreviewed machine output.

How we test tool guides

When a guide describes a PDFRun tool — compressing a PDF, merging files, running OCR, converting formats — we verify the described steps against the live tool before publishing, and again when the tool changes. If a guide describes a limit (for example a file-size or page count), we state the limit we actually observed.

How we handle claims and numbers

Where an article cites a figure, a limit, or an external requirement (such as an email provider’s attachment size), we aim to link the source or describe how we measured it. Where we cannot substantiate a precise number, we describe the behaviour qualitatively rather than publish a figure we cannot stand behind.

How we keep content current

Published articles show their publish date and, when revised, a “last updated” date. We revise articles when a tool changes, when guidance becomes outdated, or when a reader reports a problem.

Corrections

If you find an error, email editorial@pdfrun.io. We correct confirmed errors and update the page’s “last updated” date when we do.

Free tools and paid features

Many PDFRun tools are free to use without an account. Some advanced limits — larger files, batch processing, saved workspaces, or priority processing — may require credits or a Pro plan. See the Pricing page for current details. We try to keep this distinction consistent across the site; if you spot a contradiction, please tell us.
