Step 1 — Upload your resume
PDF only. Up to 10 MB. We extract the text and send that text to our AI provider for analysis — the PDF itself is not stored.
Step 2 — Paste the job description (optional but recommended)
With a JD we add a job-match score, missing-keyword list, and tailored bullet rewrites.
- Your PDF is uploaded to our PDF engine over HTTPS so its text can be extracted, then deleted within 1 hour.
- That extracted text, plus the job description if you paste one, is then sent to Anthropic to produce the score and rewrites. The PDF file itself is not sent to Anthropic.
- Resumes usually contain your name, contact details and work history. Redact anything you don't want processed by a third party before uploading.
- PDFRun does not use your documents to train models. We do not control Anthropic's retention or training policy and make no claims on their behalf — if that matters for your document, don't use this tool.

How much does this cost? +
The first check is free — full report, full features, no card. After that, each additional analysis is $4.99 (one-shot, no subscription). Most users come back once after editing their CV to verify the new score.
Does it actually use the same logic as a real ATS? +
We don't simulate one specific ATS (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever — they all differ). We score the universal patterns ATS systems agree on: parseable structure, keyword density vs the JD, action-verb usage, quantified impact, and length. The score correlates well with how most ATS pipelines rank your resume.
Will my resume be stored or shared? +
Your PDF is uploaded to our PDF engine to extract its text, then deleted within 1 hour. The extracted text is sent to Anthropic to run the analysis. PDFRun does not use your documents to train models and does not sell or share them; we cannot make commitments about the AI provider's own retention or training policy. We keep only your score history (numbers, no resume content) so you can compare versions when you re-check.
Can I download the rewritten resume? +
Not yet — the MVP gives you specific before/after rewrites that you apply yourself in your existing tool (Word, Google Docs, Canva). Auto-export of the rewritten CV is on the roadmap.
I have a French / Spanish / German resume — does it work? +
Yes. Claude scores resumes in 30+ languages, and the JD analysis works as long as the resume and JD are in the same language.
